BOARDING INFORMATION

All dogs are taken for walks twice daily (in the morning and evening) and are given "potty breaks" throughout the day as needed. Dogs are walked individually and are not allowed to come in contact with other dogs to ensure their safety during their stay with us.

All cats are taken out of their kennels and allowed to play in the cat kennel room once daily. Individual attention is given throughout the day as well.

Dry food, bedding, dishes, and treats are provided by our facility, but you are welcome to bring your pet’s own favorites from home as desired.

Items to consider bringing:

FOOD: Please bring at least two extra days of food in case of a need to extend your pet’s stay. All food bags/containers must be labeled with pet’s name and owner’s full name.

MEDICATIONS: If your pet becomes ill during his/her stay with us, he/she will be given prompt medical care. Any medications your pet is taking will be continued during his/her stay with us according to your veterinarian's directions. All medications must be brought in with the pet in enough quantity to last throughout his/her stay. Please bring any medication in its original bottle when possible.

BED, SHEET or CRATE MAT: We have plenty of beds, blankets, and cots for our overnight guest, but feel free to bring your pet’s bed if you feel it will make them more comfortable during their stay with us. Please write your pet’s name on the bed.

TREATS: No long-term chews or rawhides, please. Limit treats to biscuits, cookies, greenies, chicken tenders, etc.

WORN ARTICLE OF CLOTHING OR TOYS: Please write your pet’s name on any personal belongings you pack for them.

CONTACT INFORMATION: You must provide your travel contact information, as well as contact information for someone who can be reached by telephone. Your emergency contact should be someone who is willing and able to come to Cochrane Animal Hospital within a few hours if absolutely necessary to pick up your pet in the event of emergency, especially if you plan to be out of the local area during your pet’s stay. Pets will only be released to owner’s emergency contacts listed on account and who provide photo ID for verification. This is for your pet’s safety and to eliminate any possibility of "pet-napping".
